ECU helps protect your debit card and keep your financial information secure with proactive fraud monitoring. Our debit card processor continuously monitors debit card transactions for unusual activity and atypical spending.

If an atypical expenditure is detected, our processor will call you to verify the transaction activity. If they cannot reach you, your debit card may be temporarily frozen until the activity is confirmed.

To avoid interruptions, make sure ECU has your current phone number so you can quickly verify transactions and keep your card active.

When you share your travel dates and destination, we can notify our card processor, so your out-of-area purchases are less likely to be flagged as atypical. That helps you avoid a potential temporary restriction and keeps you ready to spend when and where you want.
