      Education Credit Union ATMs allow unlimited free* transactions for ECU members with an ECU VISA® Debit Card. In addition, ECU has partnered with The People’s Federal Credit Union (TPFCU) to provide our members free access to ATMs with no surcharge.

      To Avoid Additional ATM Withdrawal Fees:

      • Use your ECU debit card to purchase items and receive cash back at many participating merchants.
      • Make withdrawals at any ECU branch during business hours or utilize our digital access tools like Zelle to transfer funds.

      Debit Card Security

      ECU has taken measures to assist in preventing debit card fraud and keeping your records and financial information secure. Our debit card processor monitors our complete debit card portfolio for “out of the normal spending patterns”. When our processor detects an “out of the normal spending pattern,” they will call you to verify the debit card activity. If our debit card processor cannot reach you, your card may be temporarily frozen until they can verify the activity.

      Using Your Debit Card Out of Town

      To avoid having your card potentially restricted while traveling, you may wish to notify the credit union if you will be going out of town. We will gladly notify our card processor of the dates you will be out of the area, so any transactions conducted there won’t be considered “out of the normal spending pattern”. This gives you the flexibility and confidence to enjoy your travels.

      Mobile App Account Deletion Request

      The Google Play Store has implemented a requirement for Education Credit Union to provide our members with the ability to request the removal of their app accounts and any associated data. This requirement is the latest of many recent compliance updates from Google and Apple related to user privacy and data safety.

      If you would like to request the removal of your app accounts and related data, simply send an email request to msc.info@educationcu.com

      Please type “Remove App Account” in the subject line of your email and provide us with a good phone number to reach you at. One of our representatives will be in touch with you to confirm the request is valid and initiate the process.

      Upon execution of this request, Education Credit Union will delete all associated data held in our digital and online banking system. This data will no longer be accessible or available to any party. Your accounts will remain active, and your account transaction history will remain in our main system history as long as your accounts are open, but all online banking and mobile app data will be deleted.
