How Can I Benefit from ECU Courtesy Pay Overdraft Service?

Courtesy Pay and Overdraft Protection

Sometimes, being short on cash happens! Sleep better and bank with confidence in ECU.

ECU Courtesy Pay is an overdraft service linked to your Education Credit Union $mart Checking account. It may help cover transactions when your available balance is not enough to pay an item presented for payment.

How it works:
  • Courtesy Pay may activate when there are insufficient funds to cover a transaction.

  • If your account is overdrawn, you will be charged either a Courtesy Pay fee or a non-sufficient funds (NSF) fee.

  • Fees are assessed as one fee per overdraft, per day.

  • Courtesy Pay is available only for eligible checking accounts.

Courtesy Pay is your spending safety-net.

For details on eligibility, fees, and how to set up or manage Courtesy Pay, contact ECU. For additional detailed information, please contact an ECU representative.
